About us
Structured literacy, delivered with care
Ignite Learning Academy exists because reading is not optional. We combine diagnostic precision with genuine warmth so every learner can access the page in front of them.
Our story
Ignite Learning Academy began with a simple observation: bright, curious children were being handed reading strategies that did not match how the brain learns to read. Guessing from pictures is not decoding. Sight-word memorization is not fluency.
We rebuilt instruction from the sound up. Our 12-level curriculum moves from phonemic awareness through syllable types, morphology, and advanced comprehension — with a formal assessment gate between each level.
Today we serve students in grades K–8 through one-to-one tutoring, small-group intervention, and summer intensives, supported by a platform that keeps tutors, administrators, and families looking at the same data.
What we believe
Family partnership
Parents are co-teachers. We share progress data plainly and give families practice that actually reinforces the lesson.
Dignity first
Struggling readers arrive carrying shame. We build safety and celebrate every milestone before we push for the next one.
Mastery, not pacing charts
Students advance when they demonstrate mastery of a level — never because the calendar says so.
